Santa Marghrita launched pinot grigio wine fifty years ago and this year was the first year that the company marketed the anniversary in various commercial ways. A special edition of Santa Margherita Pinot grigio, Packed in a presentation box, was introduced to commemorate the anniversary and promote the brand. The objective was to inform consumers of its pioneer status and high quality in what is now a crowded market.
This work follows the redesign of the label for pinot grigio and the rest of the santa margherita wine portfolio and the updating of the brand identity carried out by Minale tattersfield some 2 years ago.
Minale tattersfield also created the label design for the magnum which is based on one label superimposed on another to construct an L, the Latin numeral for fifty. The design follows the classical elegance of the brand, which denotes quality and timelessness, communicating its relevance to today. A gift box has also been designed to accompany the bottle.
