This project was in response to a competition brief for the roses competition in manchester, UK. The beief was to pick a branded product from a supermarket then rebrand, redesign and repackage it.
The designer chose to redesign a carton of DelMonte orange juice, having noticed that the juice cartons of various brands were all very similar and quite dull, he came up with the “one a day”concept. This involved dividing the juice carton in five cartons resembling segments of an orange.These cartons come together to make a whole”orange”. Each carton provides one of your”five a day” portions of fruit and vegetables and the whole”orange”contains the recommended fruit intake for one day, hence the name “ONE A DAY”.
