Head tail band machines
Head tail band machines are typically used in bookbinding and print finishing applications to apply a decorative band to the head (top) and tail (bottom) of a book. These machines can be semi-automatic or fully automatic and can apply a band made of various materials, such as paper, cloth, or leather.
The process of applying head and tail bands involves feeding the book block into the machine, where the band material is cut to the appropriate size and glued onto the top and bottom of the book block. The excess material is then trimmed and the book is ready for further finishing operations.
Head tail band machines can be standalone machines or integrated into a larger bookbinding line. They are used by bookbinders, printers, and print finishers to create high-quality, decorative books with a professional finish.
