Your printer just got faster. Your finishing is now the slow point. Northend felt this when they upgraded their Canon press. Their fix shows you what to do next. Northend is a UK print house. It runs Canon imagePRESS and Colorado presses. A new Canon press made more sheets. So it added fast finishing machines. The lesson is simple. More print...
Label runs keep getting shorter. Your old flexo press loses money on every small job. Konica Minolta just added a new press to fix this. Yes. The AccurioLabel 231 is a digital label press built for small and mid-size shops. It prints at 23.4 m/min with 1,200 x 2,400 dpi detail. It cuts waste and lifts profit on short runs. I work...
Shops keep adding faster Canon digital presses. But a faster press only helps if your finishing keeps pace. When it lags, the whole job stalls and money leaks out. Northend, a UK printer founded in 1889, runs a Canon imagePRESS C10010VP and a Canon Colorado 1650. The extra print volume made finishing the bottleneck. They cleared it with automation, and that...
Every print shop wants more output. But manual steps slow you down and eat your profit. Automation fixes that problem fast. A highly automated, high-volume DTF system speeds up heat transfer work. It cuts labor and hand mistakes. It keeps quality even across long runs, so you make more good pieces per hour. I run a post-press machinery factory in China. I...
You just bought a top-level printer. The prints look brilliant. But the sheets pile up with no fast way to become boxes. The Jeti Tauro H3300 HS prints vivid graphics on rigid board. After printing, you still need a machine to cut, glue, and wrap that board into rigid boxes and hard covers. That is where Kylin's post-press machines take over. I...
Sign shops face tight margins and fewer skilled workers. Agfa just put high-end features into an entry-level printer. This move holds a lesson for box makers too. The Jeti Tauro H3300 HS gives smaller printers the mirrored shuttle, automation, and IoT tools once saved for costly presses. You get high-end output at an entry price. The same idea now drives smart...
Every job you send out for foil stamping costs you time and money. I see print shops lose control of their deadlines this way. You can fix that by moving the work in-house. Yes. A pneumatic hot stamping machine with digital temperature control makes in-house foil personalisation simple. You set the heat and pressure once. Then you stamp paper, leather, plastic,...
A UK trade printer just spent £12 million on new Canon kit. The press is fast. The real problem sits at the finishing end. I see this every week. Route 1 Print added a Canon varioPRINT iX3200 to print up to 9,120 sheets per hour. Faster print output floods the finishing line. Smart post-press machines, like rigid box and hard cover...
New presses at LOUPE Americas run faster every year. Your finishing line still lags behind. That gap steals profit. So start with the finishing step. Finishing is the step that turns a printed sheet into a rigid box or a hard book cover. Strong finishing machines stop fast printing from becoming a bigger bottleneck. I run Kylin Machine, and I have watched...
A 40-year-old Telford printer collapsed into administration, and this week its administrators walk away. Around 180 jobs hang in the balance. You may wonder if your own shop is next. No single failure decides your future. Precision Colour Printing struggled with cash flow, paper shortages, and lost customers. The shops that survive this market are the ones that move into higher-margin...
